I breed miniature Dachshunds and I am proud of the healthy, good quality pups I produce. Dachshunds are very smart and lively little dogs who are sweet, loving, and very playful. There are many different colors and patterns that you can read more about on my Dachshund page.
Most of my Dachshunds are shorthairs, but I now have a gorgeous chocolate and tan longhair male and also recently acquired a longhair black and tan female.
I do my very best to produce good quality pets, but I do not sell my pups specifically as show prospects because I personally believe that first and foremost they are companion animals. That doesn't mean they couldn't or wouldn't do well in a show ring if your desire lies in that area, but my desire is for my pups to go to loving families and from that point to diverge into whatever lifestyle fits the pups and their new families. Dachshunds are very versatile as lap dogs, hunters, service dogs, therapy dogs, agility dogs, hiking or jogging companions, etc.
I believe in breeding for what I call the 'entire dog'. Looks, form-to-function conformation, disposition, health, and intelligence. Each of those things are of equal importance whether you are looking for a dog to show or to be a companion.
I hope you will take time to read my page about our rights as animal owners and my health info page where I post health tips and links to health concerns. Please take time to sign my guestbook before you leave! You will find it under the navigation buttons on the Litter Photos page.

A video tribute to the dogs of Wildside Kennel whose deaths were pushed by the Humane Society of the United States without the same chance at evaluation and life that were given to the Michael Vick dogs in spite of a number of rescues asking to be allowed to give them that chance.
