I have had requests for longhair puppies which I have now added to my small kennel. I have posted my spring breeding schedule for 2010 below. An asterisk before the female's name denotes she is being bred to a longhair male. See all adults on the Dachshunds Page. These are all projected due dates and will be approximate annual dates that each of my females will be bred. Doxies can cycle anywhere from 6 to 9 months and don't necessarily tell me what THEIR plans are.
DePayne's Little Jelena to Pistol - due approximately July 12th. Possible colors are red, chocolate and black and tan. Possible patterns are dapple. Will be smooth coats and mature around 8-10 pounds.
CK's Wind In The Willow's to Romeo - due approximately August 20th. Probable color chocolate and tan, possible black and tan. Long and smooth coats. Should mature around 10-11 pounds.

These are the parents of the litter due born June 22nd, 2010. Sunny is very outgoing and friendly. Rex is sweet and playful with people he's familiar with, but a bit leery of strangers. Sunny is retiring from breeding after this litter and will be living with my daughter as a pet so I can still visit her anytime I like :) We have 3 boys (2 red and the dark red dapple) and 2 girls (1 red and the light dapple.
Jelly Bean finally had her pups July 22nd. I guess she heard me when I told her they would be as big as she is if she didn't let them out soon LOL. The black male was born at 1 AM, the red female at 3:30 AM and the dapple female at 5 AM. All 3 are very nice pups. Both parents are housedogs who go with me nearly everywhere when weather permits. Jelly Bean is a big hit with the folks at our local nursing home. She is mistaken for a pup because of her size (7-1/2 lb.) She milks it for all it's worth! Looks like Pooh will be making visits alone for a few weeks :)
These are the parents of the litter due around August 20th. Willow and Romeo both very outgoing dogs. Romeo was air drying from his bath in this picture and still had a couple wet spots. Willow is the only one of the dogs who will smile for you when you ask her to and loves to find a shady spot to gnaw on her bone on hot days. Romeo is 'high on life' in general and loves a good run in the grass as much as he does stopping to have his ears scratched in between runs :)
