We lost Percy July 5th :(
He was doing great and had gained an ounce between Wednesday and Friday. His mom accidentally stepped on him getting out of the whelping box and caused irreparable internal damage. R.I.P. Percy
This guy has a small white spot on his head, some white toes, and a medium white spot on his chest. He's clear red.
Last, but not least, is Percy. Named by a good friend for his perseverence to thrive in spite of his size. He's being fed supplementally with goat milk as he strives to catch up with his brothers and sisters.  He was the last born, he's tiny, but healthy and boy can he suck down goat milk! He held his own well the first 2 days, but fell behind by day 3 and was fed by me every 4 hours for 2 days. By day 5 he was nursing again and fed by me 3 times a day and now is down to twice a day with goat milk and nursing the rest of the time. It's important he nurse as much as possible to get immunity through his dam's milk. He's living up to his name and is doing very well. He should begin catching up with the others soon. Percy is red dapple and has just one tiny round white spot on his chest.
I don't think these pups are going to be any bigger than their sire. Rex is only 8 pounds and very muscular in build. They are still a bit damp from their bath. The one in the bowl is the boy with 3 white feet. He always likes to make sure he's in a  position to get his share of the food! I should have their regular pictures up this coming Tuesday. Here they are at 4.5 weeks. Their weights were taken on Tuesday. I always get weights on time even if things get too busy for pictures. The female pup is the one in the middle in the second picture. She's the one with the thin white strip on her neck.
