Above are pictures of the indoor kennels. Still some minor painting that needs done on some in the spring when they go back outdoors, but ready for use for the winter.
Above are my outdoor kennels where the dogs spend the warm weather months. They are 7'x14' and can be divided by closing the center gates to 7'x7'. The females are kept 2 to each double kennel and only separated if any females have pups. The males are each in their own 7'x7' kennels. I don't care for concrete in my kennels so they are lined with heavy vinyl mats. They're easy to clean and disinfect and comfy for the dogs. The doghouses are being replaced with plastic 55 gallon barrels. They are heavier and with 2 x 4's screwed to the bottom front and back, they don't roll, are bigger, and afford better shelter. You would not believe how far a mini Dachshund can drag a doghouse around their pen!
When asked how she liked the new indoor kennels, Willow gave her best smile of approval.
Sadie was too busy with her bone for comment.
Nita gave her new kennel a 'paws up'.
Will I still be able to catch mice in here like I did outside?????
Who cares about mice. I'm kenneled next to the girls! Eat your hearts out Dutch and Levi!
